Introduction
Background
From the 17th of march to the 3rd of april of 2006, I made a trip to Egypt. This was my eighth trip to Egypt. Usually I go to Egypt in september/october when Egypt is still quite warm. This time march because of the solar eclipse on wednesday the 29th of march that was visible for almost four minutes in Saloum, near the Libian border.
First I went to Qurna, on the west-bank of Luxor. Then to Cairo. From Cairo I made a bus trip to Saloum and from Saloum I went back again to Cairo. The pictures from Cairo and around are made before and after the trip to Saloum.
